Another "Fitness As A Lifestyle" Success Story

"As a public health professional, I know the benefits of exercise and eating healthy; I also know that it's not always easy. I ate my way through graduate school, which inevitably led to weight gain. I was still normal weight, but I didn't feel healthy. I desperately needed to get in shape and feel like myself again. Training with Corey changed everything. Corey provided the motivation and direction I needed to stay strong, eat healthy, and exercise smart. He taught me that weight training is equally as important as cardio in an exercise program. After starting Corey's workout plan I noticed immediate improvement in my stamina and body definition. Thanks to Corey, I am in the best shape of my life and I've never felt better about my body, and my health! I could not have done it without his guidance, patience, and expertise. Thanks Corey!"

"Another Fitness-As-A-Lifestyle Success Story"

"Growing up, I had always been pretty fit playing softball and just having that tomboy roughness about me. Over the years I began to stop working out because people told me I looked like a body builder. When I met Corey he taught me what was better for my body intake and the workouts that would tone my body but not make it look manly. After just a few workouts, I received results and I'm complimented "every time" I step out. I cannot imagine my life now without his support, motivation, and training skills."Lauren Nichole

"Being a former athlete turned model, it was an easy transition for lauren into my program, we specifically do interval training, and mix up our cardio sessions with volleyball, hikes, speed & agility circuts in the sand and boot camps at the local park, her body is lean and mean and thanks to my "Fitness As A Lifestyle" meal plan she has maintained a 13% body fat all summer while maintaining her curves, and her hard work continues to pay off!"

Another 'Fitness As A Lifestyle" success story!

"Corey worked me hard. Every day I came back from these sessions hurting badly. But it made me a stronger and better woman. Thanks Corey."
Allison Fournier

"Allison is every trainers dream, she came to me after losing 60 POUNDS on her own by simply adding cardio and a steady diet to her hectic lifestyle. As a 25 y/o 4th grade teacher in the Atlanta area she always found the time for recreational activities in the community but wanted to make that final push towards her fitness goals. Most of the work we did was interval based training including high intesity isolated body movements with the occasional free weight & machine weight combo. in as little as 6.5 weeks Allison dropped an additional 10 solid pounds, 5 inches in her waist, cut her body fat by 6% and increased her over all out put by 80%, Allison is a true testament on how hard work can pay off and I was privileged to have a hand in her continued success"

Another "Fitness As A Lifestyle" Graduate!

"Working with Corey was awesome. His approach was really positive and helped me push the boundaries of what I was comfortable doing. I could see my body and performance increasing during my sessions with Corey."Katherine Johnston

"Katherine Johnson is a 25 y/o 2nd grade teacher here in the Atlanta area, after years of training on her own she approached me with the hopes of taking her fitness to the next level. The majority of our sessions included H.I.T and body weight workouts, we were able to drop 4 inches in her waist, roughly 11lbs on the scale and increase her endurance and over all level of fitness by 65%, including her recovery time, quater mile and out put in as little as 7.5 weeks. Congrats on reaching your goals and thank you for allowing me to contribute!"

Kimberly Marshelle is what you would call a "Triple Threat" in this industry, A beautiful and talented advocate for a healthy lifestyle, aspiring model and all around inspiration for a younger generation world wide. I had a chance to sit down with the Memphis native to discuss her modeling goals, life and love for fitness.

Kimberly, For starters you're beautiful, How long have you had an interest in modeling?

I've always had an interest in modeling, but was never really allowed time to pursue it until this past year.

Well now that you've had the time to focus more on modeling and the entertainment industry as a whole, what have you been able to achieve?

In as little as a year I have met and shot with some of the most talented photographers in the city of Memphis, TN; I have been chosen as "the face" for the 'I AM MEMPHIS' women's clothing line; been in rappers Gyft and Skewby's video 'So Dope' ; networked with different models, producers, designers, rappers, etc in Memphis, Atlanta, and other surrounding cities. I plan on moving to Atlanta, GA because the market for modeling there is so much bigger than Memphis. My short term goals are to build an outstanding, diverse portfolio and to make a big name for myself here in Memphis.

You're absolutely right about the market in Atlanta, It's alot of opportunity for a talent like your self. Now as far as your goals in the industry; Where do you see yourself when it's all said and done?

I want to be much more than just a vixen, matter of fact I don't even want "vixen" a part of my description. I'm open to "sexy" pictures, definitely, but I feel that the money is in beauty and commercial modeling. I would love to be in commercials, advertisements for products, a spokes model for different brands- not just music videos or KING Magazine. Theres is much more to me than just being "sexy". My long term goal is to become the next Tyra (only shorter, lol).

I can definitely see the potential, there is however a HUGE difference between "success' and "fame", which in your opinion is in your future?

I aspire to be a very successful model, appearing in fashion ads, magazines, commercials, being a spokes model for hair products and beauty products, walking down numerous runways, appearing in videos, etc. I want to do so much. Like Tyra, I want to give back to my community. I also want to help aspiring models become as successful as I will be in the future. I think it's very important to give back.

You definitely have the right idea and with that mentality will go far! Now, in regards to fitness, How important is it to you, being that you are in the industry of beauty, fashion and glamour?

Fitness is important to me. Fitness is definitely important in the modeling industry because you want to get work and book jobs. People aren't going to hire someone who is out of shape. Appearance is everything in entertainment. Of course being fit and exercising regularly is important for your health.

I completely agree, How often do you exercise?

I try to exercise at least 5 times a week to maintain a healthy weight and to avoid sickness.

Do you ever use workout DVDs or are you primarily a "personal trainer' type of gal?

I absolutely love work out DVDs. It's like having a personal trainer in the room with you.

So in addition to your workout routine, what types of foods do you eat, being that your diet is %80 of the battle?

I do cardio and weight training. I also watch the foods I eat on a regular basis. Recently I have been eating a lot of salmon. Salmon is so good and is so good for you! I also eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water and smoothies (homemade). I love smoothies! I try not to give into processed foods... fried anything... greasy anything. I never drink sodas, ever.

Thats great, it's starting to seem that eating right and exercising is the "cool" thing to do now a days with everyone going "green' and what not! lol

Exercising and eating right is sexy! Lol.

So you seem to have the right mind, drive and habits to continue being a major talent in this industry, give our readers one more tip from the many that I'm sure you have in regards to being healthy.

I take great care of my skin... cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. I also take my vitamins on a regular. I take a multi vitapack that I purchased from GNC. They really make a difference. Vitamins give you energy throughout your day, aid in brain function, good for your hair-skin- and nails, heart, your whole body.

I knew there was a secrete!

As you can see, healthy habits aren't a life choice, they're a lifestyle. Make sure to visit "Fitness As A Lifestyle" on twitter at @FAALIFESTYLE for more healthy reviews, articles and advice!
